Shooting Star

In the heavens, a great sea lies, where the stars look down, with a thousand eyes.

On the eve they come, and at the dawn the disappear, yet even out of sight, they remain still near.

Peering down, into our hearts, from wince they came, from where do they start.

Do they care of our mortal dealings, do they have but a single feeling.

When watching us, from so far above, there are those that would, dare express their love.

They forfeit their place, in the heavenly court, to be amongst, the mortal sort.

With fire they fall, down into our realm,Charging with a blaze, at the chariot’s helm.

In this world, now do they lie, to give us hope, a battle cry.

Thank you great star, for coming here, you left your post, and became our peer.
