Rainbow Reverie

Purple flames wash over my deadened flesh
A symphony of colours stretches out across the night sky
Twirling and diving like a school of fish in a sea of dreams
The air is heavy with hopeful expectations
And the chill it brings cuts straight to the bone
This song is all to familiar, yet it’s presence is that of a stranger
Wherefore are bound on this fateful journey
And shall we ever return
