Food Quest

The cat is hungry,

Once again.

To the door,

Her claws will rend.

I pick her up,

To go outside.

She tries to run,

She tries to hide.

A failed attempt,

To jump up high.

She crashes down,

And starts to cry.

Out she goes,

Into the night.

Out she goes,

Without a fight.

Yet back again,

She’s comes so soon.

Scratching our door,

Outside our room.

Once inside,

She starts to eat.

She jumps on the table,

With her feet.

Causing trouble,

From above.

She returns to our bed,

Without love.

To her corner,

She starts to sleep.

And we do not hear,

A single peep.
